Wayne Marshall makes his conducting debut tonight with Berliner Philharmoniker

In 1995 Wayne Marshall OBE was the piano soloist in Gershwin’s ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ with Berliner Philharmoniker with Sir Simon Rattle on the podium . Today, 26 years later he returns, this time as a conductor and soloist.

You can join the webcast today for a fantastic programme from the Waldbühne with Wayne Marshall making his conducting debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker featuring music by Berstein and Gershwin plus a 30 minute tour of John Williams best known soundtracks with percussionist Martin Grubinger as the soloist.

We connected with Wayne earlier this week to hear more about it.
