‘Supporting a government that looks like America’ – Ambassador Abercrombie Winstanley

‘There are several reasons that make this election historic.   First of all that we did have a very high turn out for the United States, over 50% because many people do not vote often.

Secondly President Elect Biden put together together a broad coalition that stood on the shoulders of African American women.  As you look at the results of the turnout of voters you will see that the strongest support for this team came from African American women, an understanding to returning the United States to normalcy and to support a government that looks like America.  These things made a remarkable election and outcome.

As we have seen from President Elect Biden’s campaign statements, he is looking to change the composition of the American government to ensure that his administration looks and reflects the full nature of the American people, with a United States that is dependable and is clear in its priorities and looks and deals with the rest of the world’
