Authentic street food from nearly every corner of the world can be found easily on the island now. Things have changed in the last 5 years and what used to seem exotic and difficult to source is something of the past as we are spoilt for choice. The variety of cuisines from around the world has been wonderful during this pandemic outbreak and the restrictions it has brought on travel, as from the comfort of your own home, you can simply order your meal, close your eyes and imagine you are in a different country a few times a week.
I am fascinated by the culture of Nepal and met with Gobinder Kharel and his family on several occasions. He is an amazing chef and here is a clip from one of my visits showing some of his dishes from the restaurant he runs at the ‘Suq tal-Belt’ in Valetta. I particularly liked the chicken and vegetarian momos.
