I am making Pomegranate Jam today for an American couple who are on holiday here and they would like three different flavors to pack them up as a trio for Christmas gifts back home. They fell in love with this island and the local fruits and produce and this is a good way for them to take back some glorious fruit and a jar brimming with memories….
So today I am making:
Do my lovely American couple like their jams runny or more solid? Textured or jelly form? How sweet should they be ? Well opinions vary and it is always best to ask them about their preferences and tailor make everything to their liking. This is one of the differences about artisan as opposed to mass production. Don’t get me wrong, I love the off-the-shelf jams but this is the difference between buying designer or off-the-peg !
