Chili Bournville Chocolate Brownie in a Mug

So many blogs and tv chefs tell us about Chocolate Brownies in a Mug. At my mum’s today, my daughter had a craving for chocolate cake. So now I join all the other bloggers and tv chefs who have featured a brownie in a mug.

And what a quick process it is…. from start to finish in under 5 minutes…

And it killed the craving !

For 2 chocolate brownie mugs you will need :

6 tablespoons grated Dark chocolate, I use Cadbury Bournville
50g flour
30 g sugar
Pinch of salt
Tiny pinch chilli powder
60 ml water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 drops vanilla extract

Mix all dry ingredients then mix in the water and oil until blended. Pour into two mugs. make surebthey are large enough otherwisevthe batter will overflow in the microwave. You can insert a piece of chocolate into the batter if you wish and this will melt and become gooey to satisfy that craving !

Cook in a 1000 w microwave for a minute and 30 seconds per mug !

Allow to cool before digging in !

  1. Wow, this looks amazing and its also really simple.
I thought you would have to put a lot of cream into this, but you don’t. Which makes it much less fattening 🙂

    1. It is nice and a good way to kill a craving without being tempted with second helpings !
